Cyberport Creative Micro Fund

Cyberport Creative Micro Fund encourages innovation and creativity in Hong Kong.

The programme sponsors high potential digital tech start-up projects and business ideas with a HK$100,000 grant. Participants use the grant over six months to produce proof of concepts and prototypes.

Each programme is designed to distribute resources among younger age groups, as well as offer support to innovators and entrepreneurs of all ages.

Successful applicants receive a HK$100,000 grant over six months to produce proof of concepts and prototypes.

Eligibility

The Cyberport Creative Micro Fund only accepts applications for projects related to digital technology.

If the relevant projects are out of reach, they will not be able to accept funding from other public organizations or projects at the same time.

Hong Kong plans - professional groups

  • Must be 18 years of age or older on or before the deadline for registration

  • Applicants are welcome to apply as individuals or companies

  • For those applying in their own name, the main applicant must hold a Hong Kong Resident Identity Card. Otherwise, the applicant must apply in the name of a company, which is a limited company registered in Hong Kong (or in the process of incorporation)

Hong Kong Project-Hong Kong Youth Entrepreneurship Project

  • Must be 18 years of age or older on or before the deadline for registration

  • Applicants are welcome to apply as individuals or companies

  • For individual applicants, the main applicant must hold a Hong Kong resident identity card and all members of the project management team must be between 18 and 30 years old on or before the deadline for application of the project

  • Applicants in the name of a company, company owners and key members of the project management team must be between 18 and 30 years old on or before the application deadline. The company must be established and registered in Hong Kong

Funding amount

Applicants must implement and complete product prototypes within the six-month plan period, during which they must submit mid-term and final work reports. The grant is issued in three stages:

The first stage: HK$10,000 (after signing the "Cyberport Creative Micro Fund" agreement)

The second stage: HK$45,000 (after successfully passing the mid-term assessment and report)

The third stage: HK$45,000 (after successfully passing the final assessment and report, and completing the prototype of the product)

Projects that successfully apply for the program will receive a seed fund of HKD 100,000 to realize digital technology ideas and build product prototypes.
