The government has set up a "Remote Business Program"
under the "Epidemic Prevention and Anti-epidemic Fund",
To support companies to continue to operate and provide services during the epidemic, they assist remote work or transform online service mode.
Max. amount of funding is HK$100,000.
(the total funding for each company is 300,000),
to develop remote business for local enterprises.

Eligibility

According to "Business Registration Ordinance" (Chapter 310) registered in Hong Kong;

All private enterprises (excluding listed companies, statutory institutions and non-governmental organizations that receive public funding);

It has been opened before January 1, 2020, and still has substantial business operations in the industry related to the application project when the application is submitted;

Companies can submit their second application from 9:00 a.m. on August 31. However, the IT solution category cannot be the same as the approved category of the first application. The company must reply to the secretariat regarding the results of the first application before submitting the second application. Second application

The funding period for subscription-based IT solutions has been increased from 6 months to 12 months, and the relevant arrangements are also applicable to previously approved applications

The restriction that related companies are regarded as the same company and cannot submit an application will be lifted

Designed for companies that want to establish online, mobile or other online service platforms, to promote products and services through subscription-based or tailor-made e-commerce platforms, including development and management

Promote such online service platforms through search engine promotion and digital advertising, such as social media promotion, e-coupons and membership programs, etc.

Online customer service and promotion

Enable companies to use the Internet to open subscription services, applicable but not limited to reservations and appointment services, including development and management

Customer digital experience upgrade
For companies to improve customer service experience and experience through technology, including but not limited to:

24/7 customer service support, such as chat robots

Use augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR) or mixed reality (MR), digital twin (Digital Twin) technology to enhance customer experience of products or services

Use analytics to improve the customer experience, such as using purchase data
Digital Payment / Mobile Device Retail Management System

Allow online/physical stores to adopt systems that support multiple electronic payment channels, such as payment gateways or mobile sales systems (POS)

Including one-time setup and related hardware/equipment

Does not include handling fees or equivalent fees for each payment transaction
Online/Cloud Financial Management System
Use computer systems to manage the company's financial-related processes, applicable but not limited to:

Invoices and collection of bills, accounting and planning budgets, asset and liability management, regulatory compliance, reporting

With appropriate network security protection, the system can be built on the cloud or allow employees to log in remotely
Remote document management, cloud storage and remote access services

Digitize the printed document into an electronic format and store it in a cloud storage system

Allow employees to obtain company information, data and systems through solutions such as desktop remote control, virtual private network (VPN), and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).

Use tools to allow group members to use the Internet for virtual collaboration or meeting through the following functions, applicable but not limited to:

Instant messaging, video and voice calls, document sharing and co-authorization, assignment of work, progress monitoring and collaborative product development
Network Security Solution

Improve the company's network security by implementing software, hardware and services to prevent cyber attacks

Examples of solutions, including but not limited to data encryption, firewall, antivirus/malware solutions
Other online/tailor-made/cloud business support systems

Other solutions (including off-the-shelf and tailor-made) to support the adoption of the company’s planned goals to enable it to conduct and continue to carry out remote business operations, which do not fall into the above categories
